THE EASTER TRIDUUM – Holy Saturday

Holy Saturday

Solemn Paschal Vigil Mass of the Resurrection 8:00pm

In these three sacred moments the whole mystery of the Mass enfolds before us, the mystery of our eternal Salvation. This is a time when we can receive Sanctifying Grace from God who in His great Love for us brings us into the very      mystery of His Love. The Mass of the Lord’s Supper, the Celebration of the Passion and the Pascha Vigil Mass of the Resurrection are the very heart of the faith. The Sacred Triduum is everything for us and so I pray that it will be a time of great blessing for you all. With my prayers  Fr Christopher

LENT PENITENTIAL SERVICE

We have this service on Tuesday 24th March at 7:00pm. For those who have not attended this service before, it consists of Scripture readings and reflections to remind us of God’s loving mercy to all His children and our own weakness which we bring to Him for healing. After this time of prayer, we make our  personal confession to the priest and receive individual absolution. Please come along to receive God’s healing love.

MEN’S ROSARY IN THE CITY – 2026

Saturday 21st of March 12.00 – Chamberlain Square by the fountain. We are called to be a shining light in the darkness and to be a witness to all nations. Join a growing movement of men who peacefully go into the heart of Birmingham and kneel down in front of a statue of Our Lady to pray for our city, nation, and for men to live out their God given vocation as protector, defender and servant.

WHEN SOMETHING SACRED IS MOCKED, SILENCE IS NOT AN OPTION

Solihull parishioner Ray McNally shares his experience as he, and others, peacefully protest about the sale of Christmas cards which mock Jesus Christ. A peaceful gathering will take place on Sunday 21 December at 2pm outside Sainsbury’s, Stratford Road, Shirley. All are welcome, please come and stand together in unity and prayer, affirming the dignity of our faith and the respect owed to every religious tradition.

Advent before making our personal confession and receiving
absolution.
